You know the song “Girls just wanna have fun”? That is what my daughter and I want to do. She’s from Minneapolis and here in Sunny Arizona for a week. We are pretty quiet gals and don’t hardly drink so what to do? She’s been very busy with her career, remodeling her upstairs with her husband, raising our granddaughter, plus moving her office to her home. So what looks like fun to her is doing a 1000 piece puzzle, going to mom and pop bookstores, going to a casino show, walking outside in the great weather and having great food! Funnily, that is great with me because we have that quiet time to talk and let down our hair although I now have short spiky hair so that might be hard.
Being with Lisa, who just turned 40, makes me content and so very grateful and joyful and what fun that IS. That is what us girls call fun.
Why not take a jewelry making class and make each other a Valentine gift. Local bead shops have great 2-3 hour workshops.
Thanks Denise, what a great suggestion! I’ll ask her.
Lori, this sounds absolutely wonderful to be able to just spend some super quality time with your daughter. How often do we have that opportunity? I love to follow where the spirit leads, you just never know what might turn up!
Enjoy this beautiful time together!
Thanks Kim.
Hi Lori — Here’s an idea:
Find the cutest, most “off the beaten path”, coffee house that serves the best coffee and chat it up for the afternoon (or morning). Get your favorite coffee or tea and savor every last drop (just make sure the place serves dark roast for Lisa LOL) If the place has desserts, you’d just HAVE to get one of those too. She’d love that. Whatever you do, I know you’ll have a great time. Enjoy!
Hi Monica, We have a great place to go called Lux on Central in Phoenix. Their coffee is really good and so are the patries! Thanks Monica for the suggestion. We’re going there on Saturday morning.
